Usually, Lieselotte exercised with her brother, Ludwig. He was, after all, the only one she found to have enough endurance to keep up. She didn't mind, though; she treasured Ludwig as a companion and a sibling, and though they spoke very little during their workout sessions, they bonded on a level that mere speech couldn't reach.
Unfortunately, Ludwig was busy with something else, and couldn't make it to exercise with her. It was disappointing, but Lieselotte didn't let it bug her. Having a companion was nice, of course, if only for the sake of... well, having someone with her, but...
The German sighed, putting her towel and duffel bag down before stepping onto the running machine.
It wasn't that she was lonely... or, maybe it was. Gilbert, Gilberta, and Ludwig had been such constant presences in her life that not having at least one of them with her now just seemed plain foreign. But, she'd fight it. After all, she was no weakling.
Besides, working out alone wasn't a big deal.
...Nope. Not at all.

Once again, Allie was procrastinating on her homework. Not that she would ever admit to that. Heroes didn't procrastinate! They just merely... waited until the opportune time. Yup, that was it! Besides, she was having a craving. A craving for physical activity. Well, that wasn't new. Allie was just a physical sort of gal. Not like she couldn't sit still and not be outside. She actually enjoyed playing video games.
Being good at them?
A whole another story. Not that she would admit that. She would beat those darn Asian kids at their own game!
One of these days.
So not the point.
The point was that she Allie F. Jones was in the mood to work out. Because playing sports was good and all, but the heroine needed to stay in tip top shape! And the best way to do that was to go the gym and become one with the treadmill!
The self-declared American Heroine of Hetalia Academy had arrived on the scene wearing a tight top, showing off her assets and well toned abs and tight leggings. Certain people she knew would throw a hissy fit at what she was wearing. It didn't help that this conjured mental voice usually had a British accent that reminded her simultaneously of both Artie and Annie... at the same time. It was kinda trippy now that she thought about it. It was like this awesome... woman/man British voice thing. But then again, it was kinda not awesome. Oh, who she was kidding? She found British accents drop dead sexy.
And that's when she saw it.
Her favorite treadmill was taken.
By an amazon goddess of a woman. Dear sweet lord. Wasn't she buff? She had some serious tone. Allie was incredibly impressed. Why hadn't she seen this girl around? Well, because this stranger-woman was so awesome-looking, she wouldn't throw a big deal about her favorite treadmill being taken. Besides, heroes didn't throw temper tantrums! That was just simply not heroic!
So, she would just quietly take the treadmill next to her.
"Hey, that's a really awesome treadmill your on! I find that I do my best times on that one!"
Or maybe not.
But it was all good because Allie had made sure to add her trademark grin and she could practically feel the sparkles from her smile. It shouldn't come off the wrong way at all. Besides, who ever liked being quiet while they worked out? That was just no fun!

Start slow. Gradually work your way faster. Take deep, slow breaths. Use your nostrils, not your mouth, but, if need be, breathe in with your nose, and out with your mouth. Pump your arms. Don't lean back.
Really, Lieselotte didn't need these reminders. She'd been following them for such a long time that they became second nature. But it was so quiet - well, 'Physical' by Olivia Newton John was playing in the background, but it was slowly pissing her off - that she needed some noise, even if it was only in her head. Thus, the tips, which were quickly becoming a kind of mantra, began again.
Start slow. Gradually work your way f--
"Hey, that's a really awesome treadmill you're on! I find that I do my best times on that one!" came a sudden, rather loud voice from the treadmill to her right.
Lieselotte flinched in surprise, losing her pace on the treadmill and stumbling. If it weren't for her quick reflexes, which allowed her to grab onto the supportive bars on the front, then she would've fallen for sure. And that wouldn't have been a pleasant sight, or a painless experience.
Immediately shutting down the machine, the German turned to send the newcomer - that loud, exuberant American girl that she'd heard about all across the campus - a withering glare.
"Was that..."
Lieselotte trailed off, struck by surprise - again. Smooth, toned abs... slim, yet muscular legs... slender, taut arms... and...
Mein Gott.
She was certainly... very, very well-endowed.
But back to the issue at hand!
"Yes... though, the treadmill shouldn't affect one's timing." Lieselotte replied, resisting the urge to slap herself almost immediately afterward. Really; one good, healthy body, and she was pacified? What was she, an immature little teenager?! She was 16! Serious, smart, and dedicated enough to get into the Academy - with a scholarship, at that. She was not the type to drool over some American.
She was just surprised to see another female with such an athletic build.

Oh shit.
Allie's bright baby blues took note of the blonde's stumble and felt awful. That was her and her big mouth again. Also said in the same British voice that was complaining about the lack of clothing she was currently wearing. Damn it, she really needed to stop hanging out with Arthur and Anne so much. This whole hearing British voices in your head couldn't be a good thing. The last thing Allie needed was to be going crazy! Crazy heroes just weren't awesome!
Speaking of heroes, she almost leapt to the rescue of her amazon but in true amazing amazon fashion the mysterious blonde woman was able to save herself. But Allie was ready to take responsibility for her thoughtlessness! Although was that glare really towards her? Wasn't that a bit too much?
“Hey… er um… sorry about that! Did I scare you or something?” the American awkwardly apologized to the other.
Oh look! She wasn't glaring anymore. It was still good to outwardly acknowledge it verbally.
"Haha! I know it's the weirdest thing man! I know it seems silly... but it's so true! There's something about that machine that gives me my best times!" laughed Allie.
At this time she was stretching because it was always good to do that before one did strenuous activities. Always good to ease the body into these sort of things! Never be too fast with it! Love and respect your body!
It was only a wonder that Allie hadn't noticed that the same song was repeating in the background... over and over again. But it was only a matter of time before the heroine commented on the song choice. Well, she had more interesting things on her mind right now. Like ooo... a name would be good!
"Anyways, what's your name? I can't believe like we've never seriously met before! It looks like you do a lot of working out! You must be new or something! The school year just started after all and stuff!"
